Take a look into The Ring Crew Crystal Ball as it takes a glimpse into the upcoming year in professional wrestling. The Mayan calender is not the only thing that is predicting doom as the end may be on the horizon for several wrestlers. While others are surrounded by downfall, there will be several that may have plenty of glory. Let's take a look...
WWE
Dolph Ziggler – 2012 will be the breakout year for Ziggler. Ziggler will not only capture major gold but he will be on his way to being one of the best ever.
Kane- Kane’s lackluster return at the tail end of 2011 will prove to be his ultimate undoing. In the first part of 2012 Kane will start out strong but start to nosedive for the worse. By the Christmas time Glenn Jacobs will put out the final ash of the Kane character.
Triple H – Triple H will rarely participate in the ring again in 2012. However at Wrestlemania, Trips will have a match that will forever cement his legacy while 'burying' another. Behind the scenes, Triple H will take over the reigns of Vince McMahon and run the day-to-day operations of WWE along side Stephanie.
John Cena – 2012 will be the year Cena proves to everyone that he is one of the best ever. Cena will defeat The Rock at Wrestlamania but he will have to resort to some dark means to do it. Cena will once again be WWE champion not long after but even though he may not have any fans, everybody will be hot on his ‘heel’.
Randy Orton – When the Apex Predator returns he will be looking to settle some old scores before he sets his sights on WWE gold. However someone on the rise will try to make the WWE like his homeland and get rid of all the snakes.
Mark Henry – Mark Henry will turn face at the beginning of 2012. However he will lose the momentum he had at the end of 2011. By spring, Henry will be at the same place he was in 2010.
Undertaker - At Mania a mainstay Superstar will cement his legacy by putting the final nail in the Deadman’s coffin. Taker will call it a career and what a career it was.
Wade Barrett – With Orton and Henry out at the first part of 2012, Wade Barrett will step up to fill the void. Barrett will defeat Daniel Bryan to become the World Heavyweight Champion.
TNA
Austin Aries – Aries will be heartbroken come Valentine’s Day after being split with his ‘X’. Aries will spend most of the year trying to recapture the title until he realizes he’s been chasing the wrong belt.
Bully Ray – Bully Ray will become a top star in TNA leaving a path of destruction all the way up to becoming the TNA Champion.
Hulk Hogan – Due to personal problems Hogan will walk away from TNA. Hogan will make sporadically appear on WWE television but for the most part stay out of the wrestling spotlight as he tries to rebuild his legacy.
Rob Van Dam –After opting to not renew his expiring contract, RVD will resurface in WWE. Upon his arrival RVD will find out that WWE is now a young man’s game and you can’t teach old dog new tricks. However, teaming with an old friend will bring wealth his way as they help rejuvenate the hurting tag team division.
Samoa Joe – Samoa Joe will also leave TNA and contemplate retirement. By the time turkey will be served on tables, Joe will return to the RING to reclaim HONOR.
ROH
Davey Richards – Davey Richards should turn in his trunks for camouflage because heading into 2012 many will be hunting for him. Richards will understand that with gold may bring glory but it also comes with grief. The pressure will get to Davey and e will enlist in the help of some training partners but it may just be a matter of time until they are hunting down and American Wolf.
Kevin Steen – Kevin Steen will start an uprising in ROH that will set the wrestling world on fire. After brainwashing…I mean ‘recruiting’ several talents on the ROH roster, Steen’s faction will put the nWo to shame. The Briscoes – See Kevin Steen.
Michael Elgin – Michael Elgin will leave a trail of bodies as he works his way through the path to gold. Just before he gets there, Elgin will have an encounter with a Man Beast.
El Generico – See Kevin Steen.
